Our story

For over 11 years, DV8 Soccer Club has been stringing together successful seasons playing in the Peninsula Soccer League (PSL), the top amateur league in the Bay Area. The club is divided into two teams – Elite and Defenders – which play in the Major Division, the highest level of competition in the PSL.

DV8 S.C. was formed in 1999, and the club name is a play on words (de-vi-ate) for the word “deviate,” referring to the way a team must maneuver the ball up and down the pitch and into the net to win the match.

Along with fair play and success at the highest level, DV8 S.C. takes a great deal of pride in fielding a team marked by its camaraderie and professionalism, and is aiming to provide professional opportunities overseas for its standout players.

Both teams consist of players that have competed at the college level, and have attracted talent from Stanford University, San Jose State, West Valley College and Notre Dame de Namur University, just to name a few.

The PSL season runs from September to May with a winter break during December and January. Games are played every Sunday, and DV8 S.C. practices run from 8:30-10:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and 8-10 p.m. on Thursdays.

DV8 S.C. highlights include a PSL Cup Championship in 2004, a perfect 2006-07 campaign and an undefeated summer league season in the Soccer United League in 2010.
